A testament to my satisfaction with the service Kevin provides is the fact that he is the only technician I have engaged for each of my MB vehicles. And that is over many years. So, for reasonable pricing, quality service, and integrity, I have no hesitancy in posting my 5-star recommendation for KD Automotive.

“KD Automotive has always been on point with their service. They really came through for me when I needed it most. They provided me with a loaner car — something that had never happened to me before — and it made a huge difference because I had several appointments that day and my dog was sick. Kevin and the other technicians I have had the pleasure of interacting with are on another level when it comes to being professional, punctual and positive about anything when it comes to cars. They have gone above and beyond for my car. Big shout outs to Kevin the owner for being communicative and extremely detailed on every step he and his technicians take. Nothing is left to guesswork here, and it gives a great sense of confidence and relief compared to most shops. I can't imagine taking my car elsewhere this side of the state. From routine maintenance to aftermarket modifications, Thank you KD!

Update: Following the owner’s response, I want to clarify that I did not call the shop incompetent or untrustworthy. My concern was based on repeated repairs for the same issues and a second opinion documenting that those items now need to be redone after relatively limited mileage. My review reflects that experience. ________ I’ve worked with this shop for nearly 10 years and trusted them with my E30 through multiple rounds of repairs, spending many thousands of dollars over that time. Despite addressing issues as they came up, oil leaks persisted. I recently sought a second opinion, and that shop documented that several items previously repaired here — including the oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and VANOS gasket — now need to be redone, with relatively limited mileage since those repairs were performed. When I brought this back to the shop, the response focused primarily on warranty timelines rather than the broader pattern or outcome. That didn’t sit right with me, and I ultimately chose not to continue the relationship. I don’t doubt that working on older cars is complex, but my experience over time left me without confidence that issues were being fully resolved. I’

Kevin was very generous and specific with his inspection findings and recommendations. He discussed options, pros and cons of various choices, and gave me his honest opinions about the risks/benefits of the options available. Not pushy at all, he wanted me to know and understand, the choices, and choose the best option for my circumstances. . Kevin impressed me as being extremely knowledgeable and competent, gave me detailed information about the steps he took to do my job with a very high level of perfectionism. Plus he had a free loaner car for my use while my vehicle was being serviced for several hours. That was a great help, and very uncommon in my experience. My work was completed on time, for exactly the amount quoted (which was very reasonable, I got 3 bids). Friendly and polite and very professional service. I am impressed. Brakes felt GREAT when I used them on the drive home. I highly recommend KD Automotive!
